Goodbye January ......

Posted by: Julie - 04 Feb 2014 18:28

A washout, is how January has left me & no doubt most people feeling!! Thankfully its over & hopefully we can all get on with a drier February?!

However, looking at the positives, we had a great Prizegiving evening with the B& SV PC & it was great to see pupils picking up some serious silverware!!

Alice with her Show jumping trophy & sash & rosettes from the Pony Club Championships!

and Charlie who picked up a handful of prizes including placings from the Pony Club championships!  He was VERY reluctant to wear his sash!!

Some of my younger pupils also picked up some lovely prizes too for participation, great ponies and Jack was awarded his Mini Achievement Gold badge!

So what has February brought so far ... apart from the obvious rubbish weather?!  Russell & I have just finished laying the new school surface - by hand, well my hands, his tractor!  As you can see, it was quite a mountain when it arrived!

We also picked the wettest, most windy day possible to have it delivered!  But I refused to be beaten by it!  It's all down now & I can't wait to get on & use it!!

February is promising to be busy with the start of home based rallies again.  I have a couple of temporary residents in as well at the moment, one of which is looking for a new home & with a bit of luck, my girls will actually get going - well, probably not properly now til after half term, but with a bit of luck, there's got to be SOME improvement in the weather by then ...... surely...?!
